Your child has expressed an interest in Harrington College of Design and, therefore, may be considering a creative career in the future. As a parent or guardian, you’ll play an integral role in helping your child decide which college is right for them. I’d like to take a moment to tell you a little bit more about our school.
Harrington is a professional design school recognized for its quality of education. It’s a creative community of imaginative individuals who share the desire to pursue a career in a creative field. We’ve been helping them do that since 1931, and offer career-focused programs in interior design, digital photography, and communication design. The difference at Harrington is that our programs are in areas our students and instructors are passionate about.
We’re located in downtown Chicago, one of the most exciting (and friendliest) big cities in the nation. Our wireless, vertical campus has labs and classrooms equipped with industry-current technology; our course content is updated regularly; and our instructors, who are professionals in the fields they teach, can provide valuable insight and advice about the careers our students are preparing for. Outside of school, the city itself – its people, its architecture, and its museums and galleries – offers inspiration that can enrich our students’ learning experience beyond the hands-on skills and education they acquire in the classroom.
We’d like to assist you any way we can in making the decision that’s right for your child. The content on this website can give you more information about our school, our programs, our faculty, and our city. We offer tuition planning and career placement assistance, and financial aid is available for those who qualify. We can also help your child find housing in nearby neighborhoods. If you have any questions we would be happy to speak to you.
