OSCAR ISBERIAN RUGS WEAVES TUITION FUNDING WITH RUG AUCTION FOR HARRINGTON COLLEGE OF DESIGN

Chicago – November 14, 2006 - Oscar Isberian Rugs will showcase 10 student-designed rugs on Friday, December 1, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Harrington College of Design first floor gallery located at 200 W. Madison Street. Michael Jefferson from Wright will be the featured auctioneer. Proceeds from the rug auction will provide tuition funding for the students.

The evening will feature a lecture by Oscar Isberian Rugs along with presentations by Harrington students who will discuss their design inspirations for the rugs. The wool rugs, manufactured by Oscar Isberian Rugs, were the chosen finalists in a design competition sponsored at Harrington College of Design by Oscar Isberian Rugs.

"I was very impressed by the designs the Harrington students created", said Sarkis Tatosian, a principal at Oscar Isberian Rugs.

The rugs, which were woven in Nepal, are valued at over $3,500 and can be previewed online after November 17, 2006 at www.RugAuctionFundraiser.com.

In recognition of World AIDS Day, there is a suggested $20 donation to benefit Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS (DIFFA) Chicago. DIFFA Chicago is a not-for-profit organization that distributes funds to Chicago-area AIDS service agencies that assist men, women and children affected by AIDS and HIV-related illnesses.

The RSVP event is open to the public. For more information or reservations, please contact Nelson Sears at 312.697.8004.
