CHICAGO, IL (March 27, 2007) – Chicago design firms and design industry professionals will preview the work of 2007 graduates from the Interior Design and Digital Photography Programs at Harrington College of Design. The Graduates’ Show will also feature work by first-year students in Harrington’s new Communication Design Program. The show, which is free and open to the public, will be held Friday, April 20 from 4pm to 8pm in the first floor gallery space of Harrington College of Design located at 200 West Madison.

Harrington graduates work with some of the top Chicago design firms and related design industries. According to Carlos Martinez, a principal of Gensler, an international design firm, "We have found that Harrington graduates—especially those for whom interior design is their second career—have an impressive level of maturity and business acumen." Martinez adds, "We believe that the broad range of design experiences they gain at Harrington, both in class and through the college’s internship program, are critical to their educational development. In the end, this well-rounded education contributes greatly to the quality of our design community and our profession."

As part of the Graduates’ Show interior design graduates will showcase residential and commercial projects including office, hospitality, and educational work. Digital photography graduates will display a wide range of architectural and interior shots, as well as still life and portraits. A panel of judges will confer eleven awards within the three degree programs.
