Harrington College of Design offers two Interior Design degree programs:
Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design
Harrington College of Design’s BFA in Interior Design program requires 130 credit hours of professional studies combined with liberal arts courses that enhance the student’s critical-thinking skills. Professional courses include drawing, basic and advanced design, drafting, CAD, business practices, experimental design, electives and more. Liberal Arts courses complement these studies with a solid foundation of history, art, English, humanities and sciences.
Students in this Interior Design degree program have the chance to:
- Develop an understanding of how to work with a variety of design project types and users
- Develop the attitudes, traits, and values of professional responsibility, accountability and effectiveness
- Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of art and design, theories of design, green design, human behavior, and discipline-related history.
- Develop skills in computer applications used in the interior
design industry.
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Interior Design
This four-semester program requires 66.5 credit hours of professional studies combined with liberal arts and science course work. The professional studies component of the degree is designed for students interested in related fields or a design assistant position.
