Harrington Students Can Enjoy an Active, Vibrant Student Life

Harrington Student Government

Harrington Student Government (HSG) is a group of elected officials that coordinates many of the activities around campus and assists with those of other groups.  HSG hosts new student welcome luncheons, Town Hall meetings, focus groups, and tours of the campus for prospective students.  In addition, HSG offers a voice to students to express feedback and questions or concerns regarding campus life. HSG ensures that issues concerning the student body are presented and addressed as quickly as possible with faculty and staff. Overall, the organization helps make sure the campus is a more enjoyable educational and social experience for students. HSG also encourages the cross collaboration of different groups on campus, and assists students who are not yet involved to become a part of the diverse student and faculty population. HSG is located on the 4th floor in room 408. This space is for the students to ask Student Government representatives any questions they might have or to pick up information about other groups on campus.

HSG Extended Services:

  • Ambassador Program: a new program designed to help and guide new students
  • Navigate the City: tips on transportation, housing, sights and sounds, hangout spots and other resources in Chicago
  • Understand your Program: get advice from students in your program
  • First Year: students in their second or third semester or beyond have insight to share on how to get through the first year

All students are encouraged to attend meetings regularly to learn more about this student organization and current student issues. To contact HSG with any questions or concerns regarding school or off campus issues, email StudentGov@harringtoncollege.com

Sketch of living room interior
The process of Interior Design employs creativity and graphic communication skills. Harrington College of Design's Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design Program is designed to develop these skills through problem-solving in two-dimensional and three-dimensional media. The student is challenged to develop critical thinking, conceptualization, and spatial visualization abilities. These skills can form the foundation for both hands-on and digital design and communication tools, which are integrated with an understanding of the interior environment in the design studio.......................................
